When you have an owner like Jeff on-site supervising the project, you can see why a smaller, nimble, yet highly skilled company always gets the job done right.

OUR STORY

The roots of Authentic, Inc. run deep in the craft of building. Jeff St. Cyr grew up in New Hampshire, the son of a third-generation mason, where he learned the value of precision, patience, and hard work at a young age. By 18, Jeff was managing the restoration of historic Colonial and Victorian homes, honing his skills in meticulous detail and problem-solving. Drawn to the grandeur of Montana, Jeff moved west and immersed himself in the art of building with log and timber—an experience that would define his career and inform his approach to creating homes that harmonize with nature.

SUPER COLLABORATORS

We partner with your chosen team to create your dream. We roll up our sleeves and take a hands-on approach to following good ideas. Our job is to lead you in the right direction, making each deliverable a milestone.

JEFF ST CYR
Owner/President Excavation Manager

Strong spirit and relentless work ethic define the essence of the company – with Jeff St. Cyr as the owner and driving force behind it all. The environment and approach at Authentic is a direct reflection of Jeff’s values and experience – the construction industry has been in his blood for decades.

The son of a 3rd generation New Hampshire stone and brick mason, at the age of fifteen Jeff began an apprenticeship in the carpentry trade. By the time he was 18, Jeff was taking on general contracting roles on 18th century Colonial and Victorian renovations. Armed with a wealth of experience, Jeff then departed for Montana and began building with log and timber. And today, in this great state, he offers his extensive skills to clients who demand perfection.

JOE BEVIER
Project Manager

With over 30 years in building and managing homes, Joe’s passion for detail is as strong as ever. Growing up with a father who was a carpenter and owned a painting business, Joe learned the value of hard work early on. After starting out on a framing crew right out of high school, he moved to Bozeman in 1994, where he began a career in finish carpentry. Shortly after, Joe met Jeff St. Cyr, and they connected over a shared passion for craftsmanship. Nearly three decades later, they continue to pursue excellence together at Authentic Inc., with Joe recently moving into project management, his favorite role so far.

Outside of work, family is Joe’s top priority. He and his wife have instilled the importance of hard work in their two children, who have grown to be successful in their careers. A lifelong musician, Joe has been playing drums since he can remember. Between family, music, and building homes, he is constantly inspired to work hard and appreciate every moment.

Over the past 25 years, he has specialized in building high-end luxury homes, making him a perfect fit for the team at Authentic Inc. “The thing I most enjoy about working with Authentic is that here, there is only one way to build—perfection,” Roger says, a philosophy that aligns seamlessly with his approach to construction. As a Project Manager at Authentic, Roger is responsible for every aspect of a project, from breaking ground to the final finishing touches, ensuring that everything is executed to perfection.

When not overseeing the construction of someone’s dream home, Roger can be found fly fishing on one of Montana’s rivers, sitting in a duck blind, or pursuing big game across the state. He lives just outside Bozeman with his wife, Leah, and their chocolate Lab, Oz.

Fueled by his passion for family and community, Dylan returned to Montana post-college, diving into excavation work before transitioning to carpentry. He now thrives at Authentic, a company that shares his commitment to excellence and craftsmanship.

He finds joy and satisfaction in working through the logistics of building in Montana’s rugged terrain and wouldn’t want to do it anywhere else. Grateful to be part of the custom home industry in such a beautiful area, Benjamin appreciates the unique challenges each project brings and is always up for a good challenge with the Authentic Inc. team by his side.

His primary responsibilities include estimating, project coordination, and managing the business side of projects.

A few years ago, Scott and his family achieved their long-held goal of moving to Bozeman, joining friends and family already living in the area. After many years of “talking shop” with Jeff, this move opened the opportunity to become part of the Authentic Inc. team. The most important factor for Scott was partnering with someone who shares his vision of the home-building process and his commitment to quality, attention to detail, and building strong relationships with all stakeholders. Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and exploring the beautiful landscapes Montana has to offer.
